Hertha signs Bastians, extends Lell's deal

01/26/2012 - Berlin, Germany (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Hertha Berlin added defender Felix Bastians from Freiburg and signed defender Christian Lell to a contract extension, with both players inking contracts through the summer of 2016.
Bastians, 23, played for Germany at various youth levels. He spent time in the youth systems of Borussia Dortmund and Nottingham Forest, where he first broke into the senior team in 2005.
Hertha had previously agreed to add Bastians this summer, but the transfer was pushed through during the winter break. Bastians played for numerous teams on loan while at Nottingham, and then joined Young Boys in Switzerland before his return to Germany with Freiburg in 2009.
Lell, 27, joined Hertha from Bayern Munich two years ago and previously agreed to extend his stay with the club, but has now officially signed a new deal.
